A broadcast messaging system is a one-way only communication that is always initiated from the merchant side. An affiliate support system is a two-way communication system and is likely to be initiated from the affiliate end. When is it used? You may need to pass some general information or notice to all of your affiliates on a routine basis, perhaps every week or perhaps every month. Examples of the type of information to be communicated can include a discount code to pass on or notification that some system upgrade work is planned.
